I’m a native of Limon, Colorado, a Mennonite pastor, a bluegrass musician with the 'Fireweed' bluegrass band and an artist. I work (or play) intuitively in Colorado Alabaster beginning with a line or contour cut with power tools and a great
cloud of dust. Then with the finesse of a diamond blade, some riffler rasps and ever finer grades of sand paper the image in the stone emerges and is finished to a smooth, cool, tactile and visual experience. Thin places are worked
in to let light actually play through the stone.
