Bill LaMorris

I have lived in the West my entire life and have traveled the Rocky Mountains from border to border. I am enamored with the vast beauty, the complexity of cultures, and the amazing history of our land.

I use photography as means to capture the mystery. I believe it is a necessity to document as many images as we can of places and people before they are gone or changed forever.

I am a believer in classic film cameras and traditional darkroom techniques. The choice of film, camera, paper and developing methods allow full control over the process. Lith printing and toning are the primary methods I use.

My passion is in the creation of an image that is unique. I work to convey a

mood or feeling rather than a pictorially accurate representation of a subject or event.

In this way, I have documentation as well as a story.

I studied Art at Southern Colorado State College in Pueblo Colorado,

Saint Edwards University in Austin Texas, and Pueblo Community College in Pueblo Colorado.

I have exhibited at numerous shows and galleries throughout the Southwest

and have been fortunate to win awards in many.
