Jill Moring

 

Jill Moring specializes in natural science fine art and illustration.  She is a former research scientist and professor who brings her love of precision and detail to natural subjects.

She has exhibited her artwork, jewelry and embroidery nationwide, winning many awards.

She holds a certificate in botanical illustration from Denver Botanic Gardens.

She has studied painting with Robert Lucas and Patricia Kavanaugh Browne,

and attended workshops with Ann Swan, Pandora Sellars, and John Cody,

among others. Her favorite art media are watercolor and colored pencil,

but she works in other media as well.  She teaches beadwork and colored pencil.

She has written, designed and published a book of beadwork designs,

a magazine article on beadwork, and several scientific papers.

Publications containing her art are a Colorado weed poster, Durable Plants for the Garden,

and the Denver Botanic Gardens “Flourish” book to be published in 2008.
