I first remember having a camera in my hands at around 12, it was an Eastman Kodak Brownie Reflex. You had to look down into the view finder to take a picture. I remember the yellow paper around the film that you wound onto plastic spools when you "loaded" it. When I worked as a journalist in my 30's I found I needed a photographer when there wasn't one around so I bought a 35 and set up a darkroom in my small bathroom. I spent hours in there astounded by the magic of seeing images come up through the pungent liquids in the trays.

I now use digital and work with images on the computer.

Colorado, especially the San Luis Valley, gives me unlimited vistas and wildlife to shoot.

I want to create images that capture the peace and harmony nature embodies so I can pass those feelings along.
