As I began my journey into art I discovered that color was most important to me, bright and bold color.
Simple shapes became the next piece of my creative puzzle.
My love of color was nurtured in my studies with impressionist painter
Chuck Ceraso of Lafayette, Colorado, where I learned that everything is just shapes and color.
It is this simple formula that I focus on.
I work in a variety of media.
I see no need to restrict myself to one media or to a single subject.
I continue to explore, experiment, and enjoy the journey.
I admire the work of all artists, but I’m inspired by Wassily Kandinsky,
Georgia O’Keeffe, Vance Kirkland, Raymond Jonson, Frida Kahlo,
Norman Lewis, Mark Rothko and especially Tsa-sah-wee-eh (Helen Hardin).
